General Blight

Carl is a television and theatre actor, and an international cabaret host. His West End and touring theatre credits include : Chicago the Musical, (Adelphi and Cambridge Theatres and International tour.), Les Miserables, (Queens Theatre London, International tour and O2 Arena). Vixens' (Leicester Square Theatre), 'If you’ve got it, Flaunt it!' (Fortune Theatre), West Side Story (Wimbledon), Jest End! (Leicester Square Theatre) and the self written and directed 'Northern Souls' (Jermyn Street). Carl's other work includes: The Diva in 'Frank's Closet' (Hoxton Hall, Shoreditch), Carl in 'Drama Queen' (Unity Theatre, Liverpool), and most recently created the role of Lady Brandi Alexander in the new play ‘We Raise Our Hands in The Sanctuary’ (Albany Theatre).
In 2008, Carl appeared as Brett Edwards on ITV show 'The Bill'. Also on television, Carl has been seen on The Royal Variety Show, Children in Need, The Classical Brit Awards, and is featured in Matt Lucas’ documentary ‘Dreaming the Dream, my Road to Les Mis’. He is also currently one of the faces of Camden Town Brewery’s lager, ‘Hells’. Recent workshops include the social media musical "Like Me", and creating the role of General Blight in "Bananaman - The Musical".
Carl can be heard playing the role of ‘Bamatabois’ on the 25th Anniversary recording, “Les Miz Live!”, and is featured on the 25th Anniversary Concert DVD of Les Miserables, filmed at the 02 Arena. As a cabaret host, Carl has performed at the 5* Campinski Resort in The Seychelles, and most recently as the compere and auction master for Sir Richard Branson’s Winter Ball in Verbier, Switzerland. He is also the resident host at London’s ever-popular after hours show, Kinky Cabaret, and is the proud director of his own events company – Ace Productions.
